How do I join?
Joining is easy! Whether you're an experienced player or a complete beginner, we’d love to welcome you. Simply get in touch or visit one of our rehearsals to see what we’re all about. We can provide an instrument and music, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm!

- Beginners & Training Band: Fridays, 6:30 – 8:30 PM

What experience do I need?
🎺 None at all! We welcome all ages and abilities—from absolute beginners to experienced players.
🎺 If you're new to brass music, we offer free tuition and instrument loans to get you started.
🎺 If you already play, you’ll find a warm and friendly band to continue your musical journey.
How much does it cost?
💰 Nothing! Membership is completely free, including lessons and instrument loans. We are a registered charity and rely on fundraising and donations to keep the band running.
What commitment do I need to make?
We understand that everyone has different schedules, so we’re flexible. However, we do ask that members:
✅ Attend rehearsals regularly whenever possible.
✅ Take part in performances and events, as these are key to our band’s success.
✅ Practice at home to keep improving and enjoy playing even more!

If you are an experienced player who would like to join the band then please contact our Sectretary Tracey Popham: 07874746589,
for a chat and arrange to come along to one of our rehearsals. New players are always welcome, we have a number of instruments available to loan for free and there are no subscription charges.
Wanting to Learn or get back to playing
If you have played a brass instrument before and fancy getting back into playing or if you've never played before and would like to learn we can help. We have both individual lessons and playing together in a group. If you already read music that's a bonus but don't be put off if not as we will teach you how.
